At the Shamrock Club on Sunday Hertfordshire Youth Team suffered a heavy defeat at home to the Cambridgeshire Youth Team although it did not look very good, Hertfordshire's inexperienced team played quite well and in most games it was only Cambridgeshire's experienced players plus there finishing at time quite clinical that gave them the win. The U/18s lost 5 - 2 Ben Amies won the Match Award and Kieran Brignell was the only other winner but Jarred Cole was vey unlucky to lose, in the U/21 Females our only winner plus the Match Award was Samantha Jefferys, the U/21 Males lost 5 - 0 with a lot of games where Hertfordshire players could have won if only they had hit there doubles especially when they were on the double first but they will learn as they play more games. this also applies to the other young players as well.
